Program Details Announced for 4G Wireless Evolution Conference, October 4-6, 2010
Coverage Areas Expanded for Fourth Iteration of 4GWE, the Industry’s Leading Event For 4G Technologies, Strategies and Applications
Norwalk, CT – May 25, 2010 - TMC and Crossfire Media today announced program details for the fourth running of their 4G Wireless Evolution (4GWE) Conference, taking place in Los Angeles, on October 4-6, 2010. 4GWE is collocated with TMC’s ITEXPO West, the world’s largest b-to-b communications technology event.
4GWE focuses on the evolution to a 4G infrastructure and the mobile broadband applications that it will enable. As part of ITEXPO, 4GWE has become the industry’s premier gathering place for Mobile Network Operators, fixed carriers, handset manufacturers, mobile internet device manufacturers, application providers, and venture capitalists.
The event explores the trends driving a shift towards an anywhere, anytime, broadband mobile network. Now in its fourth iteration, 4GWE addresses how the wireless ecosystem will satisfy the insatiable demand for wireless broadband services, through sessions that discuss:
• How carriers will expand capacity and coverage of their networks to meet demand
• New features and functionality that add value to mobile applications
• The impact of the National Broadband Policy on the wireless industry
• And how 4G will enable applications such as video, and multi player/ multimedia gaming.
“We have reached the wireless tipping point; consumers cannot live without their mobile devices, wireless data traffic has exceeded voice traffic in some markets, and the success of all carriers is dependent upon a network strategy that satisfies the increasing demands of today’s mobile consumer,” said Carl Ford, partner and community developer for Crossfire Media. “The content at 4GWE covers the devices and applications driving mobile broadband demand. It addresses the strategies that carriers will need to meet demand, and it also discusses the roll that the FCC will play in shaping a national broadband plan that facilitates ubiquitous, affordable high speed access for the entire country.”
The complete Agenda for 4GWE Conference can be viewed now on the event Web site. The educational program announced today for the three-day conference features dozens of sessions, such as:
• The New Age of Consumers

• The Carrier’s Dilemma: Mobility and Offload

“If you are focused on strategies associated with 4G network technology, products and applications, or are looking to invest in the future of the new core of networking, then 4GWE provides an opportunity to meet with your peers, expand your knowledge base, and identify potential new partners,” adds Carl Ford.
