TechConnect World Opens Media Registration for the Clean Technology ’09, Nanotech ’09 and TechConnect Summit Events

The Most Comprehensive Clean, Nano and Bio Tech Events in the US Will Bring Thousands of Thought-Leaders, Conference Delegates and Exhibiting Companies to Houston, May 3-7, 2009

Cambridge Mass – March 11th- TechConnect World, in association with the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI), and the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI), today announced that media registration has commenced for the TechConnect World trio of conferences - which includes the Clean Technology ’09, Nanotech ’09 and TechConnect Summit events, taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston Texas, May 3-7, 2009.

More than 2,700 presentations are scheduled for all three events. An extensive lineup of Keynote addresses, from companies such as: Continental Airlines, Lockheed Martin, NREL, Exelon, and many others, will provide the insights of top executives from the largest companies in the world - who are actively involved in some of the most significant projects across the clean, bio and nano tech industries. To date more than 50 reporters have already registered, and more than 30 publications have signed on as media sponsors for the events. “We have always had strong media support, and this year, we’re expecting more than ever because of the growing concern in this country to find and use alternative energy resources,” said Dr. Matthew Laudon, President of CTSI.

Clean Technology 2009 assembles the entire clean technology ecosystem – including industry, academia and government - in a manner that promotes sustainability and accelerates the flow of energy, water and environmental technologies from development to implementation. The event will closely examine policy issues, and future measures that will need to be taken in order to ensure sustainability.

Now in its 12th year, Nanotech ’09 is the largest and most prominent Nanotechnology event in the world. It attracts a community of thousands of Nano, Micro and Bio technology executives, who gather to promote advanced research and best practices, and bring Nanotechnology from the laboratory to the marketplace.

The TechConnect Summit ties these events together, through formal needs presentations and networking opportunities, where executives from Fortune 500 companies present their technological challenges to the academic and research communities - who in turn, share their ideas and technology solutions for addressing the needs presented.
